Poetry in the Parlor: An Introductory Writing Workshop on the Poetic Process

In this introductory six week generative poetry workshop, participants will read and write poems in a variety of styles, starting with some received forms (sonnets, villanelles, and others) and then moving into the styles and techniques of free verse. Whether you're a beginner or have been writing poetry for some time, this workshop will prompt you to engage with your own poetic process, along with that of your fellow participants. 

This is a 6-week writing course, not a series of drop-in classes. Please sign up in advance to participate in Poetry in the Parlor, which will be held on the following dates:
